After earning degrees in communications and business management, Abigail finally embraced what she'd been doing since she was eight - cosmetology. Growing up in the pageant, dance, and cheer world meant mastering all things hair, makeup, and glam early on in life. And, of course, she was always the friend doing everyone's hair at sleepovers and before special events, duh!
It’s not hard to see how all of that fits in the world of cosmetology. Now she’s mastering the science and the art of it all, with blonding being her current obsession. The transformation process excites her - especially the element of surprise that comes with each unique head of hair, and she totally respects the commitment it takes to get your perfect shade!
Becoming a stylist has been a full-circle experience. When she competes in pageants (most recently, Miss Indiana), she finds herself styling her fellow contestants’ hair between events. She’s come to realize that, like her time with her guests, it’s her way of deeply connecting with people. Building relationships with people matters to her most.
She jokes that there’s only one thing she’d give it up all for: to become a comedian. She’s kidding, but in all seriousness, Abigail would do anything for anyone and loves making people laugh. She’s got the type of personality that makes you immediately feel welcomed and at home. Even some of her favorite things are perfectly relatable: she loves a cute, aesthetic brunch, binge-watching Gossip Girl from time to time, and hanging out at home with her pup.
